ThriveWorks Ghana

Fostering a mindset and attitude geared towards value creation and service to others

Our mission & vision

Our mission is to equip underserved youth in Ghana with the skills, attitudes, and mindset they need to be leaders who are gainfully employed and achieve success in their careers.

Our vision is to create a capable, credible, and thriving community where everyone has the opportunity to develop their God-given talents and be valuable contributors to society.

Background

Driven by a profound belief in the untapped potential of the youth in our communities and a deep awareness of the limited opportunities available in certain regions, our journey at ThriveWorks Ghana is deeply rooted in the stark realization of wasted potential and overlooked capabilities among the younger generation. In 2022, Africa held the distinction of being the world's youngest continent, where a remarkable 4 out of every 10 individuals were 15 years old or younger. This statistic is not just a number; it's a chorus of untapped potential yearning for a chance to shine. However, within this promise lies a pressing issue - the challenge of youth unemployment.

Ghana, like its African peers, grapples with the daunting task of providing meaningful opportunities to its youth. While official statistics might suggest progress, the reality is far more complex. Many young Ghanaians are left without a secure path forward, facing a future laden with uncertainty.

At ThriveWorks Ghana, we exist because we believe in the extraordinary potential of Ghana's youth. We see beyond the statistics and delve into the stories of the young souls seeking purpose and dignity. Guided by an Afrocentric framework rooted in communalism and collectivism, we acknowledge the profound role of faith as a coping mechanism for individuals with African origins.

Our Programs

Technical Skills Training

We provide skills development and hands-on job training experience for young adults ages 16 - 25. These skills range from photography, web development, graphic design, and apprenticeship in plumbing, masonry, carpentry, and electrical works. We then connect them with clients who need their services or provide a hub for them to use their skills for freelance opportunities.

Mentorship & Career Coaching

In collaboration with churches and individuals, we provide guidance to at risk youth to help them in their spiritual and social life as well as their careers.

Student Entrepreneurship Training

We provide a four-week course which trains student on value creation – how to identify and take advantage of opportunities to help serve others while they also make money.

Alumni Networking

We keep in touch with our graduates and create a platform where they can connect, engage, and help one another.
