Boys Home &
Farmland Project

Providing a safe and loving home for homeless boys in Lilongwe, Malawi.

In Summer of 2026, Life Coaching Ministries will build a boy's home for homeless children and develop farmland in Lilongwe.

Project Director Amorro Banda has made it clear that this project "won't be an orphanage, it will be a home."

Launch Date: Dec 2026

The Boys Home and Farmland Project will run under the umbrella of Life Coaching Ministries in Malawi.

The project will be led by Amorro Banda, who has worked at Life Coaching Ministries since it launched in 2022. He has served as the ministry's Accountant and After School Program Director.

Amorro was an integral part of the ministry as it has rolled out dynamic programs, including a Girl's Home, After School Program, Summer Camp, Feeding Program, Entrepreneur Program, Clean Water for the community, and recently a Medical Clinic.

As a former street kid who grew up in a home run by UrbanPromise International's first global project, he knows firsthand how shelter, food, education, and the gospel can transform young lives.

About the Director:
Amorro Banda

Amorro was born in Lilongwe, Malawi, and was abandoned to live on the street when he was 3 years old when his father died. He begged, picked through garbage for food, and slept under a bridge to survive. He faced violence from older street kids on a daily basis, and the only life he envisioned for himself was the street life that was modeled for him. In his own words, "I was living without hope."

His life changed forever when he was accepted into YouthCare Ministry's boy's home at 8 years old. At first he was only showing up for a meal... but his faith in Jesus blossomed as he learned about the gospel. Life continued to be incredibly hard, but hope sparked in his life. Through much perseverance and by the grace of God, Amorro graduated from DMI St. John the Baptist University in 2022 with a degree in Accounting. He is currently pursuing his Masters degree in Business Administration from Cairn University.
